Course Instructor
Ms Florence Phoon completed her bachelor’s degree under the Social Service Scholarship from
the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). She is passionate about supporting and
journeying with children and their families to address their unique communication
and feeding needs. Florence strongly believes in advocating for her clients and
working collaboratively with the various stakeholders in a child’s life to foster an
environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive happily
Ms Monika Mukherjee believes that the first 6 years of life are very important as it is the time when the
foundations of learning are established. With 19+ years of experience supporting children with various special needs, she believes that every child with additional needs is unique and can be supported and nurtured to reach their fullest potential. As a special needs educator, she needs to understand their needs, identify their strengths, foster independence in them and create an inclusive environment that
helps them to flourish. She also believes that the journey is much smoother when there is effective collaboration between the parents and the teacher
With 13 years of teaching experience in Child Care Centres, Enrichment Centres, and
Early Intervention Centres across both the private and public sectors, Ms Pearlyn Pua
strongly believes that every child deserves equal opportunities to learn and connect with others. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and hopes to eventually work closely with caregivers to support them in their journeys. Pearlyn believes that our early childhood experiences have a profound impact on who we become as individuals and is passionate about raising awareness
on the importance of breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma—one step at a time—to create a better world for future generations.
