  • Application Through Case Scenarios
    o Case Studies & Small Group Discussion

    This is a 4-hour workshop that includes a mix of didactic teaching (PowerPoint presentation),
    audience polls and reflections, hands-on activities, group discussions, case applications, and
    an extended question and answer session.

  • To understand behaviour as a form of communication in children
  • To identify factors that contribute to challenging behaviours
  • To learn the principles of positive behaviour support and applied strategies
  • To explore proactive, evidence-based interventions for supporting and reducing challenging behaviours

Course Instructor

Dr. Tanisha Vanen (Psy.D.) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (USA), a Registered Psychologist (Singapore), and Registered Clinical Supervisor (Singapore). Dr. Tanisha provides diagnostic assessments, therapy, skills coaching, parent training, and group sessions for individuals and their families relating to a range of neurodevelopmental differences and mental health challenges. Apart from her clinical practice, Dr. Tanisha is a lecturer for various psychology modules at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels at local and private universities in Singapore. Dr. Tanisha also offers clinical supervision to budding psychologists and consults with organisations on various projects. She is a co-founder of The Singapore Sibshop, where she facilitates programs for siblings of individuals with neurodevelopmental differences

Terms and Conditions

  • Registration will be confirmed only upon receiving invoice or full payment.
  • If the participant is absent without valid reason or without supporting document, full course fees will be charged with no refund
  • PCG funding is subjected to approval by NCSS and staff of Social Service Agencies (SSAs) which
    are members of NCSS may receive PCG funding based on a first come first served basis as slots are
    limited.
  • Registrants from SSAs who have registered for the course but did not manage to get the funding,
    will pay the full course fees.
  • Registrants from non-SSAs will pay the full course fees.
  • For courses that are not PCG approved, the full course fees will apply.
  • Registration will be confirmed only upon receiving invoice or full payment.
  • If the participant is absent without valid reason or without supporting document, full course fees will be charged with no refund
  • 100% attendance of the course is required
