
Ms Chew Shi Yi is a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with four years of working experience in Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore. She currently works with children ages 6 and below in the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC) and her caseload involves children with varied diagnosis including Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder and multiple disabilities. She is involved in assessment, trial and provision of equipment for use in the classroom and at home. She also shares information on usage of equipment with other members of the Trans-disciplinary team, such as the teachers and caregivers to allow the child to practice and generalise skill across settings. She believes that the use of these assistive devices will allow clents to perform and participate in leisure, school/work and activities of daily living (ADL) more independently.
