
Mrs Jeanette Javier Bruto is currently the Deputy Head of the Department of Speech & Language Pathology at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS). She graduated with a degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of the Philippines-Manila and has worked as a clinician in various settings such as private clinics, special schools and hospitals in both Philippines and Singapore. Prior to joining CPAS, Jeanette has worked in Singapore School for the Deaf, AWWA and KK-Department of Child Development, where she had worked with clients with speech, language, fluency, social communication and feeding delays and disorders. Her special interest lies in the areas of language development, feeding, hearing disorders and social communication. Jeanette has initiated and developed the social communication progammes in both KK-DCD and CPAS. Apart from her professional training, Jeanette is certified in Hanen approaches, such as It Takes Two to Talk, More than Words and Talkability. Apart from these, she is also fluent in Signing Exact English and trained in oromotor approaches for feeding, PECS, Lidcombe Progam, Auditory Verbal Therapy, DIR-Floortime, PROMPT and SOS approach to Feeding.
Jeanette is also a recognized Clinical Educator for students pursuing the M.Sc (SLP) programme at the National University of Singapore. She also provides clinical supervision for newly qualified practitioners who are pursuing professional registration as a Speech Language Pathologist from the Allied Health Profession Council, Singapore.
