Course Outline
Co-teaching and teacher collaboration are proven strategies for helping students with diverse backgrounds, such as students with special education needs (SEN) achieve academic success. Come and discover the essential components for a successful co-teaching program: learn practical ways to define your roles, a variety of co-teaching approaches, ways to plan and deliver instruction, as well as how to make the most of each teacher’s strengths. The emphasis will be on creative and time-efficient strategies you can use in your co-teaching program!
In this strategy-packed workshop, Dr. Kathy will share practical ways for providing instruction that works for ALL students, including students with special needs (SEN) and tips for maximizing the value of each team member.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to learn to:

  • Discover how to scaffold and differentiate co-teaching instruction to help your students with SEN take charge of their own learning in your co-taught classroom
  • Explore dozens of useful tools and resources for working together to boost student learning and active involvement
  • Understand and apply the essential components of co-teaching in order to create an inclusive learning environment for both co-teachers and students

Course Instructor(s)

Terms and Conditions
Participants from SSAs will be eligible for the VCF subsidy based on certain criteria and on first-come-first serve basis, as only limited seats are given by NCSS.
– Participants who have registered before 30 April and did not receive VCF funding will have to pay full course fee.

Registration will be confirmed only upon receiving invoice or full payment.
– In the event of no show up for the course, course fee will be charged with no refund
